Read Some Car Insurance Facts

Why a site about 1 day car insurance? On this page I try to explain why I have created a site about such a dull subject.

1 day car insurance - my confession

1 Day Car Insurance -
My Confession

Have you come straight to this page from another site or from a search engine? If you have then I hope that you find it interesting. If you are looking for 1 day car insurance or temporary car insurance then it might not be exactly what you are after. In fact the whole site might not be exactly what you are after. Wow, that admission was hard to write.

MY RATNER MOMENT

If you have come to it after looking around this site, then you might notice it has been written in a different style to the rest of the site. I just wanted to write a few words about why this site exists and why anyone would bother to write a site about 1 day car insurance. It is one of the dullest subjects I have ever written about, and possibly one of the dullest subjects you have read about. Now hopefully I am not doing a Gerald Ratner, not that I have as much to lose but here goes.

Find a Deal that's right for you:

All about the money

WHY DO IT?

Most sites on the subject of 1 day car insurance that aren't major insurers like Aviva are written in an attempt to make a bit of cash through either adsense ads, or from hoping that you click a link through to an insurance compoany and take out insurance. For example the Aviva link that I have just sneaked in again, takes you through to their site, via my affiliate link. If you happen to take out the insurance within I think 28 days then, I get paid around £49 - not bad eh? (Earnings from this to date £0) - bad eh?

ADSENSE and MADE FOR ADSENSE SITES

If you click one of the Google ads that I have tried to blend into the sites, then I get some money from Google. Advertisers bid on Google for ads, and advertisers that want to advertise 1 day car insurance seem to bid decent amounts. I have a feeling that Google don't want anyone to disclose how much they get per click, so I won't, but it pays a lot, lot, more than clicks I get from a site I own about Border Terriers. Search for 1 day car insurance or temporary car insurance on Google and you will find a few sites that are made for adsense just to capitalise on this. What most of the people that have these sites have realised is that the clicks pay good and the competition to rank in Google is low.

WHY 1 DAY CAR INSURANCE?

There are about 63,700 sites that rank for the key word "1 day car insurance" in Google and this isn't that many - I know it sounds a lot but compare it to 48,500,000 for the term "car insurance". (To find out how many sites there are for any key word, type the key word into google inside quotation marks ""). Now according to the Google Adwords Keyword tool the term '1 day car insurance' gets 5,400 UK searches a month (based on September 2009 figures) and 3,600 searches globally. Not a huge amount I know but, if I could get just 2000 of these people lets say to visit my site each month, and 5% of them click on an adsense ad then that would be 100 clicks a month which coupled with some earnings from the affiliate links, would bring in a bit of cash each month.

WHY THIS PAGE

I got really bored writing about 1 day car insurance. Do you know how hard it is to creat pages on this subject? I think I have about 6 pages so far. I even put together an insurance facts page in an attempt to get more traffic and increase the page count. Traffic - That's a problem too. To get better placed in the search engines you need links. I know there are lots of ways to get links to a website. I know you can pay for them. But how do you get natural links to a site on 1 day car insurance? Feel free to link to this page at this point. Well I didn't write this page to get more links, although if that is a btproduct then great. I wrote it mainly because I was bored and fancied writing something different, and didn't think it would do any harm to the site (let's see how that works out eh?). You never know might even get some traffic for some different keywords, or better still this page might rank number one in google for '1 day car insurance' - wishful thinking maybe.

ABOUT ME

So there you go. That's why I find myself writing about 1 day car insurance. I am just a stay at home dad, with a 3 year old girl who will be starting school next year. I am not part of a big company, I don't know all that much about insurance - take a look at the disclaimer - to avoid falling foul of FSA regulations I just direct people to other companies and don't provide advice. If I don't want to go back to working for someone else once she is at school, then I need to keep coming up with money making schemes. Now...all I need is for one of the schemes to make some money. Google would get very annoyed with me if I encouraged you to click the ads, so I'm not going to do that, however, on the other hand if you see anything that takes your fancy and maybe even saves you money, then I hope to have helped. This is absolutley true: as I am writing, my friend Geoff has emailed me telling me he took a look at this site and followed a link to Compare The Maqrket.com and saved himself £138 by changing gas and electricity supplier. So hopefully as well as making me some money and keeping me from going back to working from someone, I can help other people save a few quid too.
